“Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain.” “Why is it that kids seem to get the idea, and adults shy away?”
This past Saturday, nine Arizona educators, three National Education Associate coaches concluded our Teacher Leadership Institute work study. We were collective group entire year long and parting exit ticket, we will no long shy away and dance in the rain storm. During our face-to-face cohort meetings, virtual conferences with coaches cross the nation, thanks to via zoom software we built relationships, shared action research in our classrooms.
During the face-to- face session, we defined pathways of aspiring leadership. Our expectation involved design thinking and ultimately a movement of advocacy to build substainability within our school district. Capstone projects included action research with, building professional learning communities, inclusive profession book study, communication with your profession organization, breaking out of isolation in our profession, political engagement advocacy.
My capstone titled, “Trailblazing Algorithms” defined systems thinking and posing questions about our systems in education. The pathways involved adult education, technology, equity and cultural competence. The tangible outcome of capstone project changed approximately four times due to algorithms, best be described as agenda’s uncovered and discovered within our political education system. Ultimately, @foundation4edu

This volunteer book study will enable instructors to share with the author applications of curiosity taking place in their core content with student curiosity and how curiosity is contagious, inspiring teachers all over the globe to bring curiosity to the forefront of learning in the classroom.
During the cohort, we share experience knowledge of our personal, professional growth involved with the design learning process, planning and implementation steps, setbacks and even moral compasses challenged. Our National Education Association coaches provoked us to reflected upon our continuum matrix by identify our growth as a teacher leader.
Our experience was demonstrating teacher leadership growth. During the process, our vehicle for growth was ultimately our decision. Our reflections were more than words on paper receiving written feedback from our coaches. Our reflection evidence deeped the naturally formed relationships from each face to face meeting and continue via social media, on professional learning platform.
